What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, convenient location near Lamar Valley, and friendly hosts who maintain a clean environment. Many campers enjoyed the spacious and accessible sites, as well as the wildlife sightings, particularly elk and bison. However, some visitors noted that only one bathroom was open during their stay, leading to inconvenience, and there were occasional issues with campsite reservations. Overall, it's considered a great spot for exploring Yellowstone, especially in the off-season.

level but small sites in beautiful surroundings. A 1 mile walk up hill to the town (it's downhill all the way back!) Could hear the elk bulging in the evening. nice restrooms, no showers.

Enjoyed the campground for my short stay. Great views, quiet at night, clean restrooms, and close to amenities. Rangers were very helpful and informative. Can’t wait to come back and stay again.

We only tent camped for one night, but we were able to hear the elk bugleing in the early hours. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Location was great, until they reroute the entrance back to the original which will be probably 75' from the campsite.
Equipment was fine.
