Mammoth Campground offers clean facilities, friendly staff, and a beautiful location near Mammoth Hot Springs, making it an excellent base for exploring Yellowstone. Many reviews highlight the well-maintained bathrooms and accessible water spigots, as well as the stunning views and quiet atmosphere. However, some campers noted a lack of shade, noise from nearby traffic, and limited trail access, but overall, the campground is highly recommended for its amenities and scenic surroundings.

A sink to wash dishes would be immensely useful. A bunch of water spouts were not working, would be nice to provide a few reliable portable water sources around the bathrooms.

My daughter and I stayed at Mammoth Campground our first night of our 5 day vacation. Camp hosts were friendly, quiet campground, great location, had elk walking through our campsite - it was a great experience. Will be back next year :) !

I loved the campground!!!!
The area was big (included area to park my van and set up a tent), picnic table, was near the bathroom (very clean), and bear box.

Beautiful campground, nestled on the side of a hill. Conveniently located 2 mi from Mammoth. The bathroom facilities were very clean and well stocked. Love the trees in the campground that provide some privacy. Only downside- this is right off the main road so there is road noise. The road was quiet at night, but a lot of cars go by during the day. It didn’t really bother us- but it might be a problem for others. Compared to other campgrounds/ I will choose to stay here again!
