RV overview
This is Gridlock - a 2011 Ford E-150 I bought off an Escape Campervans auction on a whim. The whole van is painted with a mural of a traffic jam, which is either ironic or perfect depending on how you look at it. People stop to take photos of it in parking lots. It's fun! It's not a fancy van. The mileage is high and it shows its age in places. But it's solid, it's clean, and it'll get you where you're going. Most importantly, it has character. In the back, you've got a queen-size bed (converts from a futon), a butane stove, a sink with running water, and a solar-powered drawer fridge. Blackout curtains on all the windows. Basic cookware included. It fits two people comfortably, and it's cozy AF with the mood lighting. Good for a weekend at Point Reyes, a run up to Tahoe, Yosemite, Lassen, Big Sur - anywhere within a few hours of the Bay. I've also taken it to a wedding in Santa Barbara if that's your vibe.
