Disappointed in conditions of campsites and general area of Hardridge Creek
Campsite was littered with trash- pop-tops, saw blades, used batteries and plastic bottle caps (i picked up and disposed of). Fire pit and grill had not been cleaned out in a long while, grass was in need of cutting which was finally done, All Campsites were littered with limbs and debris all over park. They finally cleaned up spaces at front of park before weekend but neglected the rest of the areas, Observed contractor ( Anderson Company ) cruising area but doing nothing- with fishing pole hanging out of back of company truck. Contractor cutting grass invaded our campsite and slung rocks and debris on us - did not acknowledge us- ask us to move- or give any explanation. I also observe a beer bottle that had been discarded on the ground close to the bathroom. Next day when the grass was cut they broke the bottle but neglected to pick up glass. I am very disappointed as this is one of our favorite parks and hope this message is passed . This has not been a one trip observation - it has steadily went down.

Would probably give it 5 stars except for a thousand little things - ants. The park is beautiful, nice sites near the water, clean restrooms, quiet, and we’ll probably come back, but we’ll be better prepared. Our friends had to leave early because they were so infested. They did receive a refund for the unused time.

Hardridge is a peaceful, beautiful area. We have camped there now 4 times, and have nothing but great experiences. Look forward to the next time.

Beautiful waterfront sites and great views. Park was very quiet and relaxing. Tip- bring lots of sugar ant treatment and flying insect spray. Ant treatment will need reapplied after rain or reoccurrence.

The family prior to our stay dumped their gray water on the ground. Left trash all over site. The actual site had an odor that lingered inside my camper. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a campground, especially at Hardridge Creek.

Really love this place, I do not know if short staff or what but when we got to our site no one had cleaned up after the previous campers, fire pit full of cigarette butts and cans, I saw several campers leaving and no one ever came by to clean the sites. Our picnic pad needed a lot of grass and weed killer as a lot of it was covered in weeds and grass. Ants are always an issue and are everywhere, but we still enjoyed our stay

We had a spot for July 4th weekend, another spot came open so we booked it for our daughter. It was lot #7, we had a pull through lot so we let our daughter have it and we were going to take lot 7, bad mistake, we could not back our travel trailer into lot 7. Drive is short and steep, trailer scrubbed before we got halfway in. We could not get ours in so we swapped with our daughter. We even had trouble getting her 21’ trailer in, had to swap receivers on hitch to even get it to back in without scrubbing, once we got it in we enjoyed the stay until time to leave then we had to work at it again to pull out without pulling stabilizer jacks off. Would recommend working on drive so it’s not so steep, otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Would not recommend for a long travel trailer. Be prepared for 🐜, they are everywhere.

All the uncontrolled dogs that barked all the time . It seems to get worse everytime we camp . To many dogs on campsites . Two plus dogs , when one barks they all bark and bark . We have dogs also , but they mind and hush , most In these parks don’t . I suppose they are ust to it . Don’t like getting woke up to dogs barking every morning before 7 am .
