Be prepared for ants. We didn't treat enough and got ants inside our trailer.

we loved this campground; particularly Pirates Cove. However, as others have said there are many ants. Come prepared with deterrents. The ants enter your unit through your water hose primarily. So take precautions. That said, it is a lovely setting in which to relax. Not much else to do unless you have a boat.

Absolutely love Hardridge. It is clean and the staff are nice. The swimming area is clean. Camp sites are clean and spacious. There are some really close to the swim area. The bathrooms are clean. They have playground areas that I wish were a little bigger. Cars are Conscientious of kids riding bikes and playing. My boys and I love it. We plan to have many more trips this summer.

I would have given Hardridge camping ground a 5 star if it wasn't for the ants. We have been to other COE campgrounds and never had a problem with ants. We loved the grounds, water, spacing of the sites, everything at the campground but when my wife found ants in her pocketbook that was the end. We left the campground early. We will never go back to that campground.
I don't know what you can do about the ant problem but something has to be done. All the campers that we talked to said the same thing about the ants.
