What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

We had a wonderful time. Virgie (camp host) was very helpful when I needed to cancel one site and book another.. They kept us informed regarding the fire restrictions when someone complained about our propane fire which was allowed. The issue was handled quickly. We will return..

Campground was awesome. Very flat great for riding bikes. It was quiet and peaceful. There were many cabin cruisers and yachts making there way south down the river which was cool to see. Bathrooms were clean and heated so it wasn’t cold inside the bathroom. Plenty of space between sites and many to choose from. Overall a great campground and definitely will be back.

We were not allowed to have an open fire due to persistent dry weather... which took the camp out of camping. Yes it was dry but cant we make these campsites safe enough to have a fire even during a dry period? We had small children and it was dipping down to near freezing temperatures at night... just not a workable situation without a fire. WN
