Beautiful location with large, clean sites and gorgeous views of the lake. Sites have decks and fire pits are are well maintained. We will definitely visit again!

Very nice compground... enjoyed the three night stay. Pad could have been a little more level but that was corrected for. Thanks.

We've been to Deerlick Creek twice in the past 2 years in the spring and both times we ended up in a tornado warning. The first time we had to drive 20 minutes to the community shelter and this year we ended up in the restroom with about a dozen other campers. It's not a tornado shelter but 5 minutes before, the all clear came through and then the siren went off.

This park was a nice surprise! Looking for a place for a spontaneous overnight camping trip, about 20-30 mins from University of Alabama campus, we were lucky enough to get a site near the water. All the sites were well placed, most had some privacy, not on top of each other. We hiked a nice trail through the woods & watched the sunset over the lake from a little dock on the water’s edge.

Beautiful park, nice site, just beware not all "loops" are not loops and long motorhomes and trailers can't turn around. Showers could use updating.

My husband was a driver instructor for DOT and can 3-point a 53' trailer, but this site was a challenge! Once we were set, though, we were thrilled with the site, the privacy, the view, the whole area - just sorry we couldn't stay more than two nights. Would highly recommend!

Really liked this place! Lots of areas to walk around. Close to many great county parks, and close to town. This site is particularly great as you’re kinda between two mounds so no close neighbors on either side. The pad is short though, so check the length before choosing this site. The cooking table area is up a few stairs behind the pad and may not be good for some.

What a great campground! We had a beautiful campsite with views of the water, and loved hiking and biking the trails in the park. As beautiful as the place is, what really stood out were the campground hosts and volunteer. While we were there 2 severe storms came through. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared. After the second storm, when a tornado passed through the campground, by time we were leaving the bathrooms the host on duty was already driving through the campground, making sure everyone was ok and assessing damages. We have stayed at a lot of campgrounds and this one really stood out because of the dedication of the people working there.
