Deerlick Creek is praised for its beautiful, peaceful setting and well-maintained campsites, offering stunning views of the river, ample privacy, and clean facilities. Many guests appreciated the friendly hosts and easy online booking, while enjoying various amenities such as hiking trails and excellent cell service. One of our favorite places to camp. Had not been here for awhile because of Covid and my wife’s dementia. I thought it would be helpful for my wife to go camping again before her dementia worsens. It was a good idea but only lasted 2 nights (paid for 4 nights)as home is her comfort zone and she was confused and anxious. So we left early and as we were leaving driving through the gate house, the lady on duty ( I don’t know her name) said you are leaving early and I just nodded and she said I will give you credit for the other 2 nights. I was not expecting that and thanked her very much. I would like to commend the lady and Deerlick for being so complimentary. It wasn’t the money as we are lifetime senior pass holders but it was the thought and principal because they did not know the situation. Thank you very much.

Great camping experience. Beautiful campground on the river with tugboats pushing coal barges down to the coast. Volunteers were friendly and maintained the campground in immaculate condition. Few campers there during the week, but it looked filled on the weekend. Campsites were close together, but not like sardines. Showers and restrooms were always clean, although outdated. Only rated 4 star as there is only one restroom for the entire campground, HOWEVER, even on the weekend, it was not overly busy. We would certainly return.

Campground was extremely clean and well attended to by the staff. As soon as a camper left, they were there to clean. Nice restrooms with hot showers.
