No Problems.
It was warm, ran into a bear by the waterfall.
Lots of fish, left wood and extra fuel for the stove

Left lots of kerosene please do the same. Also left firewood(kindling). It can be buggy prepare accordingly. Also , as the cabin is surrounded by trees the light is a bit dim oven in summer. Lantern and/or headlamps are a great help!

Had to cancel due to poor boating weather.
Reservations are very difficult to obtain for CNF/Prince William Sound and people reserve cabins and never use them without canceling. A solution to this problem would be to incentivize people to cancel their reservation on a sliding scale of refunding their payment. For example: cancel 2 weeks ahead = Full refund, 13-7 days prior = 75%; 6days to 48 hours ahead = 50%; 47-24 hours prior = 30%
Combine this with an expansion of tge wsit list allowing up to 5 or more dares to be selected fir notification AND Create hey page on your website that users could search for last-minute cancellations and you would retain most of the revenue and increase the actual use of the public resource(cabins) and thus public satisfaction with the management of our national forest resources. Please pass this idea on.

The cabin and location were both amazing experiences during our visit to PWS. The cabin was bigger than I expected and was very tidy. There was plenty of room for our group of six adults. As others have mentioned, the stove doesn’t put out a lot of heat, but worked well enough for our needs. We loved having the morning sun on the outer beach and evening sun on the other side of the cabin. We had two incredible days of sunny weather so had ample opportunity to do glacier tours and fish. We on had one halibut hook up in three days of fishing, but it was an 80 pounder so took away the frustration. Other than sea otters, we didn’t really see any other wildlife or marine life and very few birds. While the bay goes dry at low tide, it’s not a problem if you are ok with your boat growing dry. It limits when you can come and go, but we made it work.

Oil stove heater is not sufficient heat for the cabin size

Great cabin with a lot of space and boardwalks around the cabin to get to the outhouse. Beautiful views of ocean and lagoon. Much wildlife to view: bears, seabirds, eagles, otters. Good place to launch from for sea kayaking. The kerosene heater was efficient, however may not get hot enough when it gets really cold. It was still nice to come back to heat after a long day of kayaking.

Nice big cabin, the problem is there is no where to anchor safely as the lagoon was empty by low tide. We did some research before deciding to stay in the cabin for one night and ended up anchoring in Hobo bay leaving some folks in the cabin and picking them up in the morning. Hopefully people got the memo and don’t end up in a rough spot
