What Guests Are Saying
The Harrison Lagoon Cabin offers a spacious and tidy accommodation, perfect for groups, along with a beautiful location that provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and glacier tours. While the stove may not produce a lot of heat and the area can be buggy, the overall experience is enhanced by stunning views and sunny weather. Some logistical challenges with reservations and access were noted, along with suggestions for improving the booking system.

The cabin and location is perfect we had a good time there for 3 nights. The composting toilet is not good. Its not being used properly cause its very awkward, needs updated. Also, if you burn your paper per the rules you will just run yourself out. I also think that the propane stove is to small for the cabin, turned all the way up it will not heat the cabin enough to dry anything out, which makes staying there in the late fall/winter not ideal. Take more than 1 gal of kerosene per day and leave the heater on high all day.

Incredible opportunity to have your own cabin on the water in a remote area for a very affordable price. So happy that the US Forest Service provides these opportunities for the public. Tips for those who want to go. Bring your own firewood for the campfire and the kerosene stove in the cabin requires about two gallons per 24 hours if running it at a higher setting. Directions for the stove are are hanging on the wall behind the stove and are not with the rest of the paperwork. Plan on rain so you're not disappointed and have fun!

Very nice cabin and outhouse for such a remote location. Recommend remembering to bring lantern and headlamp as the cabin doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight so it can be a little dark inside.

Be aware that the wood stove is no longer in the cabin and has now been upgraded to a fuel oil heater.
Improvements to the cabin are WONDERFUL.

We love this cabin. Watching wildlife is an added bonus. Kayaking around the lagoon is always an adventure, side hikes add more fun. Drinking water is easiest by boat at waterfall in the back of the lagoon. Updates to cabin are great.
