What Guests Are Saying
Ptarmigan Creek Campground is a well-managed and picturesque site, offering clean facilities and a quiet atmosphere, making it ideal for families and nature lovers. Many campers appreciated the spacious, private campsites and the beautiful nearby hiking trails. However, access to the river can be challenging for some, and there were complaints about the condition of the outhouse. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for a memorable camping experience.

Very pretty and quiet. We had to get wood elsewhere.

The campground is beautiful. The trails are great. I’ve been coming to Ptarmigan Creek since 1967. It’s wonderful.

A great, quiet campsite only 20 miles from the city of Seward, with a hiking trail out to a beautiful lake that also includes campsites. Highly recommend a stay!

Beautiful setting. Nice wooded camping areas very private. Bathrooms clean. Camp hostess was helpful and showed us the direction to take the awesome trail. We had a lovely time. I would encourage campers to bring their own campfire wood as site doesn’t have much around.

Nice campsites with lots of space and trees between sites for quiet and privacy. We really enjoyed the hike up to Ptarmigan lake. Bathrooms (pit toilets) were clean. Would love to stay here again or for longer.

A little noise from the Seward Hwy but not enough to be at all bothersome. All campsites have surrounding brush and trees to ensure privacy.
The water from the potable pump was a bit smelly and dark so wondered if still safe to drink. A good camping experience. We would certainly return.
