What Guests Are Saying
Quartz Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and well-maintained facilities. Many reviewers appreciate the spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and access to Kenai Lake and nearby activities. However, there are concerns about the reservation system being too restrictive, making it difficult for locals to secure last-minute spots, as many reserved sites often remain empty.

This is our favorite campground! With paved loops and pads, hiking and biking nearby, and incredible views it's a top choice. Thus spot was great with access right above the lagoon and sun virtually all day.

Beautiful, clean, campground, friendly host. My only issue is the registration process which can be made 7 months in advance, at 6 am Alaska Time, for 14 days. It seemed to me that sites were blocked off for longer than 14 days and I was unable to get a logical explanation when I contacted the reservation people at the time of my earlier attempts.

Why are so many campsites reserved already in Jan? Then you get there and half of the sites remain empty… there must be a better way to let others enjoy the campsites when no one shows up ….

Quartz Creek is our go to campground. Year after year it exceeds our expectations. The host is awesome, the bathrooms are clean, and the neighbors are always polite. This year the firewood offered for sale at the campground was verrrryyy expensive at $10 per bundle. Be sure to bring in your own wood or you’re looking at $50 for an evening campfire.

The sites are well spaced, level, and quite clean. The camp host seems on top of scheduling with reservations.
