What Guests Are Saying
Quartz Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and well-maintained facilities. Many reviewers appreciate the spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and access to Kenai Lake and nearby activities. However, there are concerns about the reservation system being too restrictive, making it difficult for locals to secure last-minute spots, as many reserved sites often remain empty.

Lovely, peaceful campground and mostly shaded. However, site 8 is not, it has one tree so pick that one if you don't want shade. The location of this campground is great too!

The camp host really maintains this lovely campground. It was quiet and beautiful one of our favorite places.

Beautiful, clean, and friendly campground. The host is very nice and works hard to keep things running smoothly.

Campground is located only a couple minutes from the brewery. Our site was near the boat launch which was also very convenient.

This spot is not on the water. It does not have tent sites except if you place them on the pad. It’s barely wide enough to fit two vehicles. It was a big disappointment as on the map it shows it being on the water but indeed is in the middle with no privacy.

Beautiful location. Great trails nearby. Nice campground host. Clean campground. Much better cellular coverage than prior years.

It’s very very frustrating to see so many reserved signs with no campers in the sites. Something needs to change with the reservations system to allow first come, first served people to make use of the campground. So many “reserved” sites sit empty & they would gladly be used by others.

It was pretty frustrating that everybody and their brother was in a motorhome with generators running. And the guy with the drone really wasn't my favorite. I know I sound like a cranky white lady with a bob but I went to go be in nature and instead I was surrounded by loud technology.

Hands down the best campground in Alaska. Flat, level, paved, and improved sites. Flush toilets. Good cell coverage (Verizon). Walking distance to restaurant and bar. Showers and laundry within 10 minutes. Fish at the lake which the campground abuts, or float the river. Several fishing and float companies within 15 minutes. Several restaurants within the same 15 minute drive.
