Except for the USBP helicopter buzzing around and the freezing showers (can't control the weather). It was awesome. I liked the area especially Ajo for bike rides and food.

quiet, nice views, wish they would enforce generator hours more stringently...

Overall camping here was good, the restrooms were cleaned daily, and the volunteers worked hard to keep the grounds clean. Most campers were respectful to each other, and the night sky was very dark for star gazing. Unfortunately the border patrol was too present, on the trails and hovering in helicopters just a few miles from camp. And many of the USFS presentations were cancelled apparently due to staffing issues.

I love the layout of the campground. even though the sites are pretty close to one another, I still felt we had some privacy. The solar heated showers are a bust - not even lukewarm warm.

Well kept campground with terrific views. The layout is quite clever, packing in a lot of sites in a pretty compact space, but angled so that it doesn't seem like you have close neighbors. There is a separate section where generators are not allowed. It's great that there are a couple of trails that allow dogs (on leash), including the very nice trail to the visitor's center. Dark skies are excellent for looking at stars, especially if you move to the edge of the campground.

Friendly hosts and staff. Solar showers not most comfortable during cool, overcast days but better than no showers.

Lots of great trails to hike. Campground was very clean and quiet. The Rangers were very friendly and nice. The Ranger programs were excellent, lots of information and entertaining.
