A very well-designed campground with lots of space in and between sites. Hard-working g hosts proved helpful and stayed busy keeping things neat. Beautiful modern bathrooms. Bonito sits next to the entrance to the Sunset Crater and Wupatki Monument highway, a lovely 35-mile scenic drive.

Nice campground only half full when we went . Great tent camping amongst the Ponderosa Pines . Very clean bathroom but the one near us was only one sink and two toilets so I can imagine might get crowded if the campground was full . Perfect place to explore the parks nearby .

There were some loud campers making noise late into the night, 11 or 12, until some other camper had a talk with them. Apparently the campground host left that day and there was no authority to quiet them. Fortunately there was no violence.

This was our second stay at Bonito Campground and we enjoyed our time there once again. The campground host was friendly and helpful in getting us settled and letting us know about the campground. We find the mountain scenery at Bonito Campground to be absolutely stunning. This is a quiet campground as there is no UTV use allowed within the park. We had a reservation, however, there were plenty of sites available if we had not (weekday arrival). There are no hookups though there are flush toilets and water is available if you bring a container. All in all a great place to camp if you enjoy quiet and beautiful surroundings up in the pines.
