Often times, a campground experience is shaped by the hosts. Such was our case on our overnight stay at Bonita. The hosts were cordial and friendly, and yet cognizant of our privacy albeit in the middle of an established campground (you get your outdoor experience wherever you can find it :)) A big shout out the the hosts who make a stay all you hoped for.

Beautiful setting with spacious sites and TREES. Facilities were clean and well maintained. The camp hosts were top notch. We have a 24 ft. trailer and it was an easy back in. We hiked the Lava Trail and really enjoyed it. Definitely take in the Viaitor Center (an easy walk from the campground). We also visited both Walnut Canyon and Wupatki based on the Ranger recommendations.

Great campground and super helpful and friendly hosts. We originally had a campsite that our door did not open to the correct side, they let us change spots and we ended up with a beautiful site.

Beautiful, quiet setting in the forest! The camp hosts have done an phenomenal job at this site-the bathrooms were clean (flush 🚽toilets), trash picked up and camp sites pristine. We met Elaine, one of the camp hosts who was very friendly and helpful. The campsite we had was a paved pull through (teardrop) with a level spot for a tent. Each site has a picnic table and firepit -thankfully we could have wood fires. The sites are well spaced for privacy. There is no wifi and very limited Verizon coverage which was just fine for us!
