What Guests Are Saying
Hull Cabin offers a rustic yet charming experience, serving as an excellent base for exploring the Grand Canyon. Guests appreciate its cozy, remote setting, equipped with essential amenities like a gas stove, running water, and kitchenware, along with beautiful forest surroundings and wildlife sightings. However, potential visitors should be aware of its primitive features, including a lack of hot water and heating, and should manage expectations accordingly.

I would suggest rewriting the description of the cabin and experience. It makes sense after you are there but the information online gave us a different expectations.
It is one step up from primitive camping. There is a gas stove and some electricity available. There is no hot water and no shower. There is a place to use a solar shower bladder if you have one. It is a pit toilet outside of the cabin about 20 yards in the dark. I guess I am glad we got a space at all and if you are primitive campers you will be happy. If you are expecting anything more than primitive you will be sad. For us we should have made other reservations as this was expensive for nothing of value for us. It is remote and a decent location but not worth the money for us. Ymmv
Grand canyon is a must see so no regrets just wish we had done it differently.

The Hull Cabin was a fantastic place for our family of 4 to stay. We stayed 3 nights total and found it to be an excellent base camp for exploring daily destinations on the south rim. Despite being a bit rustic, it had everything we needed including beds, running water in the kitchen, and a fridge. The wooded surroundings were perfect for some hot summer days, but still open enough to see the stars at night. Highly recommend!

Cozy, remote cabin in close proximity to the Grand Canyon. Wonderfully stocked with kitchen wares. New stove and full sized refrigerator.
The wood burning stove insert at fireplace was not usable but signage indicated that it would be this fall. Also there was not a BBQ on site. The fire pit is away from the cabin and has a picnic table near the area.
Wildlife spotted during stay were deer, wild turkeys, bluebirds, western tanagers.
PIt toilet/shower house nearby. The shower stalls are set up with a rope/pulley system to suspend a solar shower bag as well as one over the utility sink.
Rangers were very responsive to address issues experienced during the stay.
While the cabin is beyond a gate, the gate is not locked. There is a sign requesting not to disturb the occupants of the cabin. During the stay, a bicyclist rode by.

Must know information for occupants....there is no source of heat in the cabin
23 degree morning in mid May, was well aware of the forecast and well prepared for sleeping (down bags, sleeping pad, blankets, synthetic layered clothing) but NOT aware the fireplace will not be usable until fall
Be prepared, the outdoor fire pit was not an option as the Canyon remains very dry
Wonderful setting in the forest
Also know that the area is open to day use (gate is not locked) and you may have a visitor or two

Always enjoy a few days at Hull Cabin. So peaceful with just enough amenities to make it more comfortable than camping.

Nicely restored cabin in a wonderful forest setting. We were there during the elk mating season and heard much bulgeling!
