The campsite is very spacious and private. The closest people to us were a good ways away and we couldn't see them because of the trees. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the bathrooms, especially at night. If you are able to hold it until you get to the Canyon, I'd recommend those bathrooms instead. But I am still giving 5 stars because I expect bathrooms like that when camping.

Used as a base camp for our hike to Phantom Ranch. Woke up at 3:30 am and made it from South Kaibab to Phantom and up to Bright Angel TH in 15 hours. Camp was still there!

My fiancé and I stayed 3 nights and we loved it! We saw a lot of elk roaming around every once in a while and it felt peaceful. The downsides would be that some campsites are close together and people can be pretty loud at times/playing music, and the bathrooms are horrifying (dirty, stinky, and flies all around). The camp hosts are friendly but I think they may be stretched too thin with all the camp maintenance/responsibilites. We may come back in the future only for the elk and proximity to the Grand Canyon.

Bathroom is disgusting and filled with flies, if you have any option don't stay at this campsite

Serene campsites far apart. Great views of the stars at night. Quiet, peaceful and close to Grand Canyon entrance and town. Perfect location and great camping.
