What Guests Are Saying

The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with spacious sites, stunning views, and access to numerous hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the clean restrooms and well-maintained grounds, making it a great stop for travelers along I-15. However, there are some concerns regarding parking, water availability for RVs, and occasional noise from the freeway, along with issues related to the reservation system. Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for nature lovers.

Nice spot not far off the interstate, but far enough away to not hear too much road noise. Bathroom toilets are a bit weird - there are no seats, just bare aluminum toilet bowls. It felt weird to sit on naked toilets, even with TP lining it.

Easy access from freeway, but upper campground has no freeway noise. Lovely spot for an overnight en route to Zion.

Virgin River is a great campsite! Surprisingly quiet given its closeness to I 15 on the upper loop. Good, flat parking and clean facilities. A cleared out pet relief area would help only because the natural beauty in the area includes cactus, but our pups managed okay. Not a complaint, just a potential convenience for the future.

We like the location, and stay there during our Annual Snowbird migration to Mexico. Sites are nice bathrooms kept clean. With the new reservation system it becomes confusing because the information is not clearn at the entrance, but only at the bathrooms. Scan and pay doesn’t work well cuz of lack of cel service. We saw people just give up and leave if they did not already have a reservation.
