What Guests Are Saying
Rose Canyon Campground in the scenic "Red Rocks" of Southern Utah is a well-maintained and beautiful location, ideal for camping near Bryce Canyon NP. Campers praise the cleanliness, friendly staff, and great fishing opportunities, with many highlighting the spacious, private sites and enjoyable hiking trails. While some minor issues like road conditions and a few camp host interactions were noted, the overall experience is positive, making it a recommended spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities.

Great sites in a world-class setting. Fishing at the lake is fun for the family.

The camp rangers were phenomenal and incredibly gracious.
One of our young sons was scared of spiders in the bathroom, and a female was completely kind and went out of her way to tell him that she'll go clean up the spiders for him!
Then the 3 employees of the store were AMAZING! They were sweet, and patient.
It was a wonderful stay, thank you so much!!

I wouldn't describe this place as a lake at all, more of a pond. The pine trees and hiking trails were great and nice relief from the summer heat. However, the entire campground is surrounded by the main road to Summerhaven so you constantly hear traffic sounds all night. It kinda kills the tranquility of nature your trying to get by camping. The state also issued a no fire ordinance the night we arrived so we had to cut our trip short by a day or freeze to death. What is camping without a campfire? On top of this, we had other campers up the road from our site that were playing loud music late into the evening.
Anyway, if we do go back to this campground, we will better prepare and now know what to expect.

We are retired so we were open for anytime to book, so we went just before Memorial Day. Site 62 and no one was around us. The site was secluded and very quiet. The main problem with this site is it's a long walk from parking to the site and unfortunately, we had a lot to lug.
Not a lot to do here other than the lake and some hiking, but a good place to get away from the Tucson heat

What a beautiful place. So well maintained. Our camp host, Pete, was welcoming and so informative. He pointed out interesting things about the site. The couple at the gate was also great and Leslie in the store is a wonderful person.
We had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay!!

The management company does an excellent job maintaining the campground, both restrooms and campsites are clean. It's also very refreshing to see the visibility of staff, which seems to dampen noise issues that can often be present when camping.

Rose canyon is a beautiful spot. Although the creek was dry the birds didn't seem to mind because there were lots of cheery birds and bird watchers here so take your binoculars. I am very grateful that the campground host really keep all of the sites and bathrooms very clean. You have to carry water from one central location so bring a large water container. Beautiful night skies for lying out and gazing at the universe.
It was very quiet and peaceful.

It's beautiful, clean, pristine. We went during the week in May and had the place almost to ourselves. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We saw a lot of birds that we hoped to see.

Beautiful place to fish and camp. Almost entire staff is super friendly and helpful except for one. Avoid Shane R. at all costs! The guy is rude, unprofessional, and clearly on a power trip. He really takes away from the experience of peace and quiet when he's speeding around in his golf cart yelling at campers.
