What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. However, concerns were raised about tree removal plans affecting the campground's appeal and some noise disturbances from nearby highways and other campers.

Great location with plenty of space between campsites. Bathrooms were well maintained. Camp grounds host were friendly, and had raked an area to pitch a tent.

Very secluded and quiet campground in the pines. Only stayed one night on way to Phoenix from Greer and required a through site. B04 was quite short with broken concrete, but was able to position to get 24ft RV pretty level with small trailer carrying Smart Car behind. A few bugs at certain times but otherwise peaceful and very dark at night. Was even able to get the Milky Way through the pines. Very quiet at night.

Beth was our camp host and was absolutely amazing! We had a great time and can't wait to come back. Our only complaint was that the other camp host told us he would not buy back an unwrapped/unused bundle of wood that we didn't get to. Otherwise it was a beautiful weekend!

Went on the first day they reopened after being closed for almost a year. We didn't know this when we reserved and it felt like a new campground. . The campground was very clean and the sites wooded and large. The host Beth was awesome. We took another couple and their son who never had camped and Beth was having a great time joking with them. We will be back

Campground was closed when we arrived after we made reservations. It looks like they were having some communication issues. Other folks were in a similar situation. Wound up driving to Flagstaff area to find a camp site. Very disappointed.

We have camped here before, but this time there were so many wasps. Every time we got food out, they swarmed all over our kitchen area. It was terrible. There have been wasps before, but never this bad. We will probably not be returning.
