What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. We absolutely loved this campground. Very spacious and kept very clean. The campground host, Beth, was so amazing. She checked on us throughout our visit and even recovered my wallet and called me when I left it on the dump station. We will absolutely be back, and with friends to visit this wonderful campground!

We tried out dry camping in our rv for the first time and found Ponderosa quite nice. It is showing its age a bit but everything was acceptable. The best part however, was Beth (and her trusty dog Bailey). She was very conscientious about notifying us and others about a couple of possible problems. There was a wind advisory of possible 50 mph gusts and she was letting people know about it and to bring their awnings and lightweight things in. The next day she alerted us to a nearby forest fire that could have shifted our way but fortunately did not. She next topped her customer service by checking in on a women whose husband had to take the rv into town for a repair. Beth stopped every time she drove by in her cart to make sure the woman was doing alright and had an eta on the rv fix. I suppose my only negative comment is a sign of the times as the Forest Service has put a "pay for dump" station in it is now $10 to empty you tanks. Still, better than nothing!
So, Thanks Bailey (and Beth)!

Beautiful and peaceful campground. The sites are positioned spaciously, especially on Loops C and D. And all spots are well maintained. The ability to reserve and pay for a specific site online is very convenient. We really like Beth the manager there. She's very friendly, funny and helpful. The restrooms were as clean as could be expected. Ponderosa Campground has become our go-to destination for a mountain retreat. We were so happy that we could make a getaway this year especially and enjoy camping again in spite of COVID.

Host Beth was very courteous and helpful. The camp sites are spacious. You can hear traffic from the nearby highway but it’s not too bad.
