We were pleasantly surprised by this campground. They were beautiful and spacious. Really enjoyed our time. Was a little worried about ATV traffic, but it was quiet and perfect. The nearby boulders were nice, too. The campground is off of a main road so you could occasionally hear the traffic from the road at site 10, but overall, the site exceeded expectations. The host was super nice as well. :)

We were pleasantly surprised by this campground. They were beautiful and spacious. Really enjoyed our time. Was a little worried about ATV traffic, but it was quiet and perfect. This is a unique campground and well suited for those who love to off-road. We didn’t off-road this time but did enjoy the well spaced out campsites, the clean bathrooms and the scenery. The noise from the trails was limited and didn’t distract from the camp experience!

The ranger at this campground was incredible, he was consistently driving around the camp to make sure everyone was okay and he was super friendly. The vault bathrooms were super clean and not very smelly and everything was very well maintained.

From the courthouse located in downtown City of Prescott, go northwest on Iron Spring Road. Continue 5 miles past the junction of Gale Gardner Way and Iron Springs Road. Alto Pit is on the right side of the road.
The campground is accessible via Iron Springs Road, which connects to State Route 89 approximately 5 miles to the north.

Arrival & departure
- One person must stay at the campsite the first night after setting up, and equipment cannot be left unattended for over 24 hours.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- You can stay for a maximum of 14 days within a 30-day period.
- You cannot dispose of private property waste in campground trash bins.
- Fireworks and sparklers are not allowed anywhere in the National Forest.
- The speed limit within the campground is 15 MPH.

- There are no water, electricity, or RV dump station facilities available.

- You can only have fires in designated fire rings or stoves.
