Went camping at this site to go kayaking but Lynx Lake water was so low that you had to drag the kayaks 60 yards down a slope to get them in the water. Ended up not going kayaking but the site and campground was very nice. It was nice to escape the heat of the Valley and get to cooler weather only 1.5 hrs away. Would definitely return to this site for more camping.

when we arrived our reserved double site was occupied by an unattended RV. The host tried his best to help and eventually provided another site, but it was a single site next to an RV with a constantly running generator and barking, unleashed dogs. We later learned the RV owner was waiting for repairs and would be there another day or so. While I appreciate the host's efforts, this was extremely frustrating after driving for hours with our children and friends. This is also the second time in a row I have arrived at a campsite only to find someone else occupying my reserved site. This makes me concerned that this may be a recurring issue, possibly involving people using reserved campsites as temporary shelter. Guests who make reservations in advance should be able to expect their reserved site to be available. I hope the camprground will address this issue.

A lot of dogs off leash when you're walking around the grounds. The bathroom doors are always propped open allowing bugs and critters into them. The area was clean and camp host very friendly. He stopped and welcomed us and asked for any questions or needs. The camp ground was quiet at night.

This site was far enough from the toilet to avoid the smell, but close enough to be convenient. Shady and large enough for my big 12x16 inflatable tent. Nice pathway to site 23 so we could visit our friends at the other camp. Area was gorgeous.

Quiet, bucolic, no traffic noise. Very private spacing. A pleasant experience. I'll return whenever I'm in the Prescott area.

From Phoenix, Arizona: Traveling Northbound on I-17 take Exit 262 onto Hwy 69 North to Prescott and cointnue on Hwy 69 for 30 mi to S Walker Rd. Turn left and proceed South on S. Walker Rd. (by Costco, Petsmart, and AM/PM gas station). Drive about 3.8 mi and then turn East (left) into Hill Top Campground.
Alternate route from Flagstaff, Arizona: Traveling Southbound on I-17 take Exit 278 onto Westbound Highway 169 and continue for 15 mi until reaching the junction of Hwy 69, turn right onto Northbound Hwy 69 and continue for 12 mi to S. Walker Rd. Turn left and proceed South on S. Walker Road (by Costco, Petsmart, and AM/PM gas station). Drive about 3.8 mi and then turn East (left) into Hill Top Campground.

Hilltop Campground is accessible via Interstate 17, with connections to Highway 69 leading to Prescott. The campground is approximately 30 miles from I-17 via Hwy 69.
