Situated in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest, quiet, peaceful, close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away for campground to feel remote. Clean and well maintained. I would camp here again.

I stayed in campsite 23 which absolutely has a stunning view. I loved my stay here. I think this is the third or fourth time I have stayed here. The views can’t be beat. The campground is clean and I love the short walk to Lynx Lake. I am a fan forever.

Well the site was good and clean however we saw no camp host or ranger checks the entire 4.5 days. Thankfully not many folks up there and all respectful however what if we needed something or had questions?

Clean campground and site. I did not use the restroom or any other facilities besides the site.
Due to the size of my trailer, I had to use a double occupancy site. For $40+ per night, I felt it was over priced since there was not electric, water or sewer.

Nicely maintained campground, tall pines all around, water supply is working again after being off for a year. Verizon cell service is usable throughout but best in the C loop and weakest in the A loop.

Nice an quiet because only a few people were camped this time of year. The fire ring in our site an a few others we looked at while walking around camp were filled with trash, beer cans, chicken bones etc. Bathrooms were clean tho. Will probably camp here again but only in really slow season. If camp was fuller the noise level would be horrible because it would echo in the canyon.

Site was level and my husband who is on a walker was able to move about with minimal difficulty. Access to water was just across from the camp site but the water was turned off for maintenance.

We love Hilltop. The campsite was clean and felt secluded. We hiked down to Lynx Lake with our dogs. It is a great hike and took about half an hour from our site. Will be back next year when the season opens.
