We really liked our camp spot. Nice wooded campgrounds. The walk to lake was short 5-15 minutes depending where your campsite is. One of the campground hosts was so sweet, I can remember her name. But she helped us out with something she definitely didn’t have too and we really appreciated that! The bathrooms are vault toilets but actually smelled good on the inside and were clean. The outside area surrounding the toilets didn’t as much but was not terrible. Definitely recommend!

The grounds were very clean and well kept and I saw the groundskeeper and host several times during our 3 day stay. The lake was close but busy. Hiking was beautiful and the trail is mostly maintained. The south shore is busy and north shore is a long steep hike down to lake rentals. Also there is no info on where rentals are located, we found it as we were hiking the lake. The bathrooms in our loop were closed during our stay and we had to walk to another loop and we were not notified via our reservation until we arrived so that was kinda inconvenient. Overall we are going to stay again in the future and loved it.

Perfect campsite and very clean. We loved the view and privacy. Our host Lynn was super friendly. She gave us an update of bear sightings near the campground (we did not have a problem). She also gave us a free parking pass in case we wanted to go fishing around the dam or go to the store/boat rentals. There is also a trail right next to the campsite that leads to the lake. The restrooms and water faucet are right next to the site. That restroom does have a vault toilet not a flushed toilet.
FYI: there are stairs on this campsite, but it wasn't a big deal to us.

We’ve been there before, but this time there was a fire and we had to evalucate a day early, thus the 2 stars. I can’t find anything in the news of the fire. We samw smoke and fire engines, but we don’t know if they contained it and we could have come back.

Campgrounds clean, the host was amazing and wood guy attentive and prompt! The lake was super busy, so did have a good fishing experience, but it was Father’s Day weekend so kinda expected it. We will be back!
