This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Side D-19 is a great double site for camping with our camping buddies. This sight has it’s own covered pavilion. And lots of room and privacy. We just LOVE it. Will return time and time again.

09/08-09/09/2020 - Beautiful setting amongst the tall Pondarosa pines and easy shoreline access via short trails to a paved walking path around the lake. The campsites were very clean as the bathrooms as well. There is potable water and flush toilets, but no showers or bathing facilities. You feel miles away from civilization, yet Costco is only 2.5 mile away. Fires were permitted in the approved metal fire rings even though there was a fire ban in the county. We had a hard time finding firewood since the weekend before our stay was the Labor Day holiday, but managed to get some at Walmart (.68 CuFt was $6.88, Home Depot wanted $22 for their one and only bag). I found that we went through two of the .68 cf boxes a night, which supplied plenty of that camping ambience and much needed heat (43 degrees at night). I paid the extra $8 to reserve a spot, but there were a lot of empty spots during the work week. Driving around the campground, I really didn't see more than one or two camp sites that might possibly have a view of the lake. Most spots are back in sites with a few pull through ones. All in all, a really great spot to stay the night or two and Patrick and Michael (hosts) keep the grounds very clean.

The sites are very well manicured, but the hosts are very strict even during the day for any music or chatting above a conversation. People are there to camp and enjoy nature playing some music shouldn't be an issue.

We’ve stayed at this campground several times. It is the cleanest and best organized than any other we have been to so far. The camp hosts have been friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

The campsite is one which we have used on many occasions. It is always clean and well tended. There are bathrooms and a fresh water pump within walking distance. The people who operate the campgrounds are very friendly and check on us shortly after arriving. Lynx Campground is far enough away to feel secluded and natural, yet it is actually just 2 miles from the main highway. The lake and the Lynx Lake Cafe (open Thursday through Sunday) are a short scenic walk from the campsite. It is definitely worth the price of 28 dollars for the site, especially considering the beautiful surroundings and the convenient location. An added bonus is the 20 degrees less of heat if you are coming up from the Phoenix Valley during the summer months.

This was the first time car camping in 20 years and Lynx Lake Campground did not disappoint. While the weather was a bit warmer in the day than we would have wanted it to be, our site was close to the water pump, an a invigorating walk to the restroom and had great afternoon shade to read a book under. Camp Host Mike was terrific. He welcomed us within minutes of our arrival, was knowledgeable about the area and visited everyday with a biscuit for our dog. The hike to the lake and paved path around the lake was a highlight for some much needed exercise. If you are looking for a no fuss, clean and quiet escape, consider Lynx Lake Campground in Prescott, AZ.
