Thumb Butte is a lovely venue for group events, offering plenty of shaded areas and ample space for activities. The setting is beautiful, making it ideal for gatherings like picnics and reunions. While there were minor issues with trash and restroom supplies, overall, the event ran smoothly, and attendees appreciated the cleanliness and helpful camp hosts.

the picnic area at Thumb Butte rental was a great choice!
We were able to gather as family together with plenty of parking space and public restrooms were easily accessible. The tables were clean and the shelter came in handy when we had a light rain for awhile.

Thanks for a great experience!!

The location and facilities were in good shape, other than needing to be cleaned! We brought our leaf blower to clear the floors and supplies to wash down the cement tables, which had dried food on some of them. We arrived early so we could do this, after we did a week ahead of time survey of what we would need. We covered the tables with plastic after cleaning. The electrical connection was at the grill location and would have been nice if there were some on the posts in the ramada, we had to run an extension cord to the ramada. The bathrooms were clean, but needed paper towels and toilet paper. We brought our own because we did the survey the week ahead. The camp hosts did not come out or check on us at all, their camp is messy and looks bad. You need to check on that situation once in awhile...as that is why the ramada and tables were not taken care of. This was a reunion of the Prescott High School class of 1955, we were all "natives" of Prescott, we had been to Thumb Butte many times in the past and were looking forward to having a reunion picnic out there. We were disappointed by the area not being clean, but after we did the job - we enjoyed it very much and think the improvements made to the picnic grounds are great! The weather was perfect, and the pine trees shaded the area. Perfect setting, parking great - handicapped spaces up close, wheel chair access good. We would definitely reserve this area again and come prepared!
