The reservation system is good when it works. If people make reservations and don't show up, then ding them those days up to the 14 day limit, or give them a full refund so others can use the camp spot.

The campground is always full on the weekends..Mostly because of the NO shows.

Speed bumps are a necessity at this campground. At least half of the vehicles travel at excessive speed. Someday a child will be injured here. If some sort of preventive measures are not taken malfeasance by those in charge is evident.

The campground is beautiful and our site worked for us. We just happened to be there during a mountain running event that had a rest stop thru the campground. It was not a problem and really well done with no interruption for us. They are also redoing the trails and I think several workers were staying in the campground. There is supposed to be a host but one night across from us there were literally 6 vehicles and 12+ people coming and going for a night. They were respectful for the most part but it was a lot for the area. All in all we liked our stay

Positives: Easily accessible, roads well maintained. Sites are well spaced and the trees provide some privacy. I saw deer, javalena and many birds. Beautiful setting and I heard no road noise. My site was a pull through and was quite spacious with steps up to the flat tent pad, fire ring and picnic table. The bathrooms were stocked. Opportunities for improvement: Never saw the camp host in the days I was there until I saw her restock but not clean (needed) the pit toilets at Sunday checkout. Upon arrival, my site had a pizza box and lots of trash scattered about. Firepit had not been cleaned and there was wet wood/trash there. Generators are allowed and were running but thankfully only for a few hours at a time.
