Very cool campground. Can't wait to go back again

Nice Campground

Beautiful campground, well maintained, friendly and very helpful camp hosts. Definitely off the grid and as a result, lots of generators running, however sites are well spaced so not too much of an issue. Beautiful night skies. Great experience on Lake Roosevelt - useful boat ramp, lots of boat trailer parking available.

This seems to be RV nirvana--- pity, just a few tents.

Campground hosts were terrific. Bathrooms were spotless and oder free even without flushing toilets. Shower was excellent in a neighboring loop.

Be sure to get gas when approaching from Payson or Globe....and your groceries.

We loved this campsite EXCEPT, the 16 hour a day generator hours. Given that the whole place is never more than 1/3 full we would love to see one of the loops designated nongenerator camping only. At 5:59 am every morning people fired up their generators. What in heaven’s name requires a generator at 6 am? It was still cool outside so it wasn’t air-con units.

Though this is a beautiful campground, the management of it is POOR.
The barking dogs, the screaming children, the LOUD generators make the experience less than comfortable.

Walking or driving through the campground dogs bark incessantly, they are often off leash and they lunge at you as you walk down the center of the road. They are often left inside campers while the owners leave the campground - they howl and bark ALL DAY and/or ALL NIGHT!!!

The kids seem to have no manners - screaming, playing chase, running through our campsite. This is behavior for the playground - not my campsite.

Finally - generators. There should be a decibel level for generators allowed (and enforced) into the campground. Some of them are SO LOUD it is impossible to relax in our own campsite because of the noise and often the SMELL from these outlandishly loud machines. Often the owners turn their generators on and leave their campsite - let the machine run while they are gone so that they do not have to listen to the noise when they are at camp.

Generator hours should be enforced. While we were camped there generators started up to two hours before the "morning" start hour and were run several hours after "evening" stop hour. In fact, a couple of nights - there was a generator that ran ALL NIGHT!!!!

If you can get control of these issues - you would have a much more inviting campground.

A NOTE ON CAMPFIRES: At this point, given the drought, the strong winds that seem to be ever-present - is it wise to allow campfires? A fire came very close to destroying the campground a couple of years ago - WHY should we allow the possibility of such a fire actually starting in the campground. The use of propane "camp fires" would be a good substitute.
