Verify the address before you arrive and don't assume you will have cell service to get you there.
The access to trails and creeks were amazing and you are tucked away that you do not feel like you are in tourist Sedona.

We had a perfect getaway at this large cabin. We were lucky with gorgeous weather between the snowstorm the weekend before & floods the weekend after. We had two families for a total of 7 people and had more then enough space to spread put. Although there wasn't a crockpot, everything else was well stocked. There were plenty of pots, knives, dishes, & silverware for all. The views & hiking around the area were spectacular! We felt spoiled being able to explore this magnificent area with out having to fight the traffic & parking lots. The only issues we had were in the showers. The master shower handle fell off whenever you moved it, and the other bathtub drain would not stay up so those that used it had to hold it up with thier foot while showering. My adult daughter said the futon was very uncomfortable, so keep that in mind if you have someone other then children sleeping in the living room. The other beds were very comfy. We can't wait to stay here again!

If lucky enough to get this spot, congrats. It is very historical. It would be cool to have a volunteer week/weekend to spruce up this aging gem. Everything is good. Lots of memories. Nice location for hiking.

I almost don't want to leave a glowing review because I want to keep it a secret so it's not always reserved, haha! Our little family enjoyed a beautiful day playing games, playing with icy puddles near the creek, taking beautiful photos, and visiting with hikers along the trail. We especially appreciated the lack of internet and phone service. The kitchen was well stocked, the heating was efficient, and the beds were comfortable. We wished there was a firepit we could have used.
