Manzanita Campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it an enjoyable place to stay near Sedona. Many visitors appreciated the well-maintained sites and the peaceful atmosphere, particularly the soothing sounds of the nearby creek. The weather is just nature…which severely impacted our trip and couldn’t access campground half of our trip. Obviously not the grounds issue, but had to leave our gear behind, find a hotel 😭 Camp host was gone the first (nice weather) day we checked in with a full campground. Campers were all trying to find out how to reach someone about weather warnings. Tried to contact and reached out to ranger station but obviously lots of bad flooding and weather that week.
I do love this place and have camped here several times. Will definitely be back and is one of my favorites anywhere I’ve been on travels.

I did not even get to stay here because I got a call that my reservation was cancelled three hours before I was supposed to check in for weather, and they didn't even call me. Recreation.gov did. I called Manzanita to confirm and they said I was still good to check in- they didn't even know Recreation cancelled it. I called again and a different person answered and said it was cancelled. I was told I would get a refund but they did not even give me the full refund back when they were the ones who cancelled on me. Cheap prices, but seems like a mess behind the scenes. I should have been notified by the campground at least a day prior so I could find accommodations. There is spotty service in Sedona and it was difficult to find another place to stay under $200.

They cancelled my reservation a day before it would begin due to flood threat, I have never gotten the money back even though it was promised.

Lovely camp site! The camp hosts, Erin and her partner (whose name I did not get), take great care of the campground, and we're both very helpful and kind. Solid, hardworking and kind camp hosts make a great campground! Site #5 is the only site that is slightly up on its own ledge overlooking the campsite, which was very pleasant. I also stayed at site #16 which was next to the creek and nice as well. The campground is a short drive to Sedona and I was able to do full days of hiking and return to the campground without it feeling out of the way. Flagstaff is a longer drive from the campground, but the drive to/from Flagstaff offers gorgeous views of the mountains and red rocks.

Our experience was fenomenal, the hosts were very attentive and helpful. They have fire wood on site for purchase. Really close to Sedonas downtown. The restrooms clean and equipped. Overall 10/10. Def heading back!

This campsite with a creek view was easy to access. The campsite attendant was friendly and made check in and buying wood a breeze. The sites are close together and it’s right off the highway but the sounds of the creek drown out the sounds. Clean bathrooms! It’s .8 miles from slide rock making it an ideal location. Still snow in February, very lovely! We would come back year round
