The site was nice, off in the corner away from the others; however, it wasn't level which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Everyone was nice/respectful, but of course their were a few rowdy folks after the quiet hours started and some of the vehicles going by on the highway had really loud music/bass. I wasn't happy with a few of the people smoking cigarettes on the campground and at the swimming hole, but it's not my place to dictate the choices that others make. The facilities were clean and, overall, it was a great experience with absolutely beautiful scenery. The night surprised me by getting nice and cool. Our two dogs had a wonderful time as well!

Great site (minus the rocky ground if you have cheap tent stakes), good basic accommodations, fantastic on-site staff.

This campground is beautiful! The sites are small, and they truly fit only one car, but they’re flat and tidy. There are 4 vault toilets for the 18 sites, and they were cleaned and stocked daily. The camp steward was very sweet and helpful. The highlight of our experience was the location - very near the creek and within walking distance to a gorgeous swimming/fishing hole. Heaven on earth, in my opinion!

Overall it was a great trip. Been to this campground many times. I do have a couple issues this time around. There aren’t supposed to campers/trailers allowed and rules clearly state a tent must be onsite yet there was a Winnebago and had the generator running so the noise was very annoying. Our group had 3 sites reserved and this caused us to have 2 extra cars. We had to park them up top which we expected and had no issue with until the hosts allowed another camper and car to park in the bathroom area which isn’t even a campsite.
Aside from this we love this place and it is our favorite place to camp so it’s unfortunate we had to deal with the noise and car issue. I would still recommend this place to others and we will be back for sure. Hopefully next time the hosts follow the rules as we are expected to.

When I made the reservation for Memorial Day Weekend almost 6 months in advance the site was reservation for Monday - Thursday and First Come First Serve for the weekend. When we arrived at the site on Thursday for our reservation I was told that the campground reservation had changed and was now all reservation based and all the FCFS sites were full. This was a HUGE inconvenience for my family and I who just drove 8 hours with a toddler expecting to spend the weekend on the river. We then had to pack up our entire camp after a short night and find a new place to stay during 90+ degree weather on a holiday weekend! It is completely unacceptable that no notice was given to people who already had reservations at the campsite or even a courtesy email from Recreation.gov. This experience really made me rethink all further reservations I make on this site.
All that said - the campground host was awesome and very helpful despite the awful change to the campground made by Recreation.gov.

Such an amazing place! My family and I will definitely be back. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the creek and birds every morning. The cars can be a little noisy but for location and everything else offered at this camp ground, the cars are easy to tune out. Camp host were awesome and the place was very pet friendly. I used to come here with my grandparents 20 years ago and it was the same beautiful place I remember.

Awesome campground. Very small, quiet, tent only, so no hearing loud RV generators. We could hear oak creek from our tent making a nice peaceful, beautiful stay
