Always a 5 star experience at Apache Trout Campground. Hosts Mark and Lisa Beatle and supporting cast are the best. Clean restrooms and showers as well as the campsites make this our favorite getaway at least twice a year year

My entire family and I come here for two weeks at a time at least once a year. Love Big Lake. I’m 48 and have been coming here since I was 9.
Camp Hosts at Apache Trout camp grounds are awesome.

Delightful hosts and the campground is beautiful and well tended. Our dog Griffy is always excited to arrive and practically falls out of the back seat window as he knows he’s going to get a doggy treat.

I like the fact you can fill your water there and drain your tanks when you leave! The showers were very nice and the flushing toilets are nice! The camp hosts were very nice and helpful!! I’m definitely coming back! The experience was amazing (fishing wasn’t the best) but it was worth it!!

Location was great. Wish the sites were cleaned up of old tree debris better to make for less work before setting up camp. The cam hosts are the best we’ve ever had!!! We will go back just because of them!

Camp site 56 is a great spot with full hook-ups and close to the restroom and shower. The camp hosts were awesome. Very orderly and clean camping location. A big THANK YOU to camp host "Pat" for saving our trip by fixing a catastrophic water supply leak under our camper's kitchen sink. He gladly came over with all the needed parts and did the work in 15 minutes. He would not accept any compensation for an outstanding job. Truely saved our trip!

Love it here. Camp hosts are so friendly.
Plenty of back roads for scenic drives. Go in to Alpine and eat at Bear Wallow or the Grill cafe. Drop in to the Sipes Wildlife Preserve. The old ranch house is a museum and enjoy the hummingbirds from the front porch. Nice grassy area for a picnic lunch.

the site was very uneven and had to raise the tongue of the trailer over 3 ft high to make the trailer level.
