What Guests Are Saying
Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Hikers enjoy the breathtaking views and trails nearby, and the campground's quiet atmosphere enhances the overall experience. However, it has limited space for large RVs, no cell service, and some sites can be quite close together, which may be a downside for some campers.

I have stayed @ Bonita campground 3 times. It was always super clean. I stayed at 3 different campsites but all closer to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are also very clean with auto toilets & sink. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, relatively small campground. Lot of great sites and a very quiet, nice vibe.

This campground is a lush oasis rising above the local desert, and leading to the most amazing area of rock formations to be seen anywhere. The spaces in the campground are rather tight, and not well suited for large RVs or trailers. The
Mexican Jays were everywhere and very lively. One of the nicest places to camp in Arizona.

Chiricahua NM is a beautiful park with great hiking and scenery. The campground is rustic, but very much enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of camping here.!

We were in site 25. Nicely placed. Incredibly tight and short. The dips that people speak about in reviews are washed that keep the campground from washing away.
Beautiful park for hiking.

Beautiful fun national monument to explore. Small park. One road in and out so road prohibits trailers past campground. Site 9 was nicely situated near water, trash, and bathroom. Enjoyed the nice trail to nearby meadow and visitors center

This is my third time staying at Bonita.
It is lovely! The camp is clean and has good water, restrooms, grey water dump, trash etc.
Sweet camp hosts. Great birds and hiking
Quiet, mostly
One complaint - They do allow generators at designated times - and they allow a few big rig vehicles- we think they should eliminate both of these things. We had a 29 foot motorhome completely blocking our view to the side and running its generator as we started to prep our dinner and at coffee the next morning :(

Site #22 should only be listed for tent campers. The parking area is extremely small and not level, so putting even a very small trailer there is problematic.
