What Guests Are Saying

Dogtown Lake Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with clean restrooms and spacious campsites that provide a sense of privacy. The hosts are friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive camping experience. However, some visitors noted the lack of water access and additional fees for extra vehicles, which they felt were not justified given the limited amenities. Overall, it remains a popular spot for fishing and enjoying nature.

Was surprised at how close some of the sites were. People on either side of us were allowed to blast their music all day making it impossible to enjoy the nature. If not for that it wouldn’t have been so bad. Beautiful area and the bathrooms were kept very clean

"Guy" and his wife at the site were incredibly kind and very watchful. The site is magical energy, clean and quiet. It has become my most favorite site here in AZ.

My girlfriend, her small dog, my 2 small dogs & myself were attacked by a dog off its leash while on a walk around Loop B.

This is a beautiful campground and plenty of things to do from hiking to fishing or just relaxing. We loved hearing the train at night as well as the elk bugling all night. It was very peaceful and serene. Camp hosts were incredibly kind and helpful yet let us enjoy our stay. Very clean facilities.

It is a nice campground accessed by a crummy road. Lots of washboard, dust and holes to avoid on a 2+ mile drive. Probably would be acceptable for a pickup truck/tent camper, but you have to go very slow in a Class C motorhome if you want to keep from breaking something. Campsites are large and well spaced. The area is pretty flat and sites are level. Lots of shade, but in year 2021, there were groups of dead trees that will have to be removed. Campground was well kept and restrooms were very clean due to the efforts of the current host.

Everything was spot on perfect from the night we checked in except the fire pit. We weren’t able to maintain a good fire even during the dismal on and off rains because the pit was full off trash, ash and it gave no breathing room for our fires to get started. If it had not been for that I would have supplied full stars
