What Guests Are Saying
Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

After the temps were above freezing there was no water at the camp sites for several days. No waste disposal due to contractors in the park.

Just a great park. Hosts were very friendly and helpful! Lot's of birds on the river and we enjoyed watching the barge traffic through the lock.
Sites C04, C06, C08 and C09 along the river have a pretty steep grade. Not for a long motorhome or trailer.

The river lock was very entertaining and was fun to watch. It was very relaxing . Check out the display of ferry boat car transport across the river. Lot of history here!

We reserved and went to ToadSuck park for our first ever Thanksgiving Camping adventure and had a wonderful time. Check in was flawless and the camp host that we met was very friendly, conversational and had answers for every question. Our site (B2) was spacious, well laid out (water and electric setup quite near each other) and other than a few minor things left by the former campers was very clean.
We met a number of wonderful camping community families. The campground was quiet, plenty of space and lots of greenspaces. What a view of the river even not having a “river view” site. The bath house was clean, plenty of water pressure and the shower was warm enough for a comforting shower while there.
Overall we a great experience at ToadSuck and will keep it on our list of close campgrounds to visit when we need a “weekend getaway”.
