As always Choctaw is a great place to camp. The camp hosts are the greatest. If they would add water and more 50 amp services it would b e the best camp spot on the lake.

Excellent park staff. Well maintained park. COE modifications to some sites (eliminate “buddy” sites and add 50amp service) is very welcome improvement. May I also suggest that adding more fresh water spigots would further enhance cRV camper experience. Many people have portable dump tanks but must haul freshwater refills in 5 gallon buckets
I highly recommend that either a second RV dump site be added or at a minimum the current one be converted to two way entry. And PLEASE REMOVE THE STOP SIGN. It is NOT needed and interferes with turning large trailers out of station
While the attempt to modify parking at the boat launch is appreciated, I must report the new parking alignment does NOT work!! People are not double parking as intended and the parking spots are far to narrow. Furthermore, the angle into spots is too tight for anything other than a truck WITHOUT a trailer (obviously not the intended use). To be far, it is clear that the COE recognizes the problem and made a good faith effort. Unfortunately I suspect the only real solution would be an additional launch site on same highway but not in the park.

Had a nice time. Shower facilities were clean and arranged so your towels and clothes would not get wet while you showered. First camping spot was a bit tricky to get into because of trees close to the drive. Could not get TV reception.
