What Guests Are Saying
Choctaw offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant spot for camping. Many guests appreciate the spacious campsites and scenic views, particularly in D-Section, and highlight the attentive service from staff like Ms. Jeannie. However, some reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and a lack of water hookups at the sites, which detracted from their overall experience.

Park is well kept, Amazing location and views. Need to crack down on the methheads living there in the off season. On our first visit a year ago, some cracked out bitch (with a campsite that had obviously been there a while) stole all of our food during the night. During this past stay (in section B) there was a tent that had a torn up tarp placed over the top of it, surrounded by trash. Cars were going in and out during the day, multiple crackheads loudly scurrying around, doing whatever the F they do during the day. On top of all this, when we drove around 8 in the morning, I saw a little girl near their campsite hiding behind a tree as we passed.. there wasn't a car in sight at the campsite. Around 8pm, we could still here the crackhead scurrying, so we decided to put our food up for the night to prevent another theft. Just keep an eye out for them.

Stayed over Christmas holiday period. Very quiet with only 3 or 4 campers staying. This is a nice park. Plenty and space for walking around. Distance travelers there is a good laundromat up by 65. Walmart just down the road. Why more people don’t visit the area this time of year is beyond me. Several COE parks on Lake Greer.
