Very nice place to stay, off the beaten path and right on the Arkansas River. The road to the park is full of potholes, so drive slowly!

Cut the tree tops that have broken and are hanging ( everywhere throughout the campground) before someone gets hurt or killed! This storm damage happened months ago, and still has not been fully cleaned up.

It is absolutely ridiculous that the areas of this campground have not been cleaned from a storm that happened several months ago. several campsites, playground, and large pavilion are all sectioned off with caution tape and have been allowed to grow up tall with weeds and brush making it very unsightly. Talking with the park rangers I was told it was a funding issue that has kept the work from being completed. I stay at this park multiple times a year and have for a several years. My kids and grandkids have always enjoyed the playground/park but they were not able to do that on our last 2 trips to this campground. I have reservations this week and also the week of Thanksgiving and hope this gets addressed soon.
Thanks,
JB
