This is a very scenic campground that is water front. Beaver lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the Ozark's. We stayed at site 11. Water front(10 feet). Great views of the lake. This site would not work for many, as the pad is short and sloped. We have a 10 foot teardrop so it worked just fine for us. Much bigger and it would be hard to level, without decent leveling blocks. Facilities were clean but not the nicest and a bit sparse. We had a pop up changing tent set up by our teardrop as it adds a bit of space for a small camper. We were told by the park ranger we could not have it set up. Seems odd considering many campers had RVs and tents on their sites. Not a teardrop camper friendly approach. All in all a great spot if you don’t need the space or the nicest facilities. The waterfront spots and views far outweigh any negatives. We would recommend and return.

Campsite was clean and views, especially sunrise and sunset were fabulous. Due to lake levels if coming in June do not take the East and North Island sites. History has shown lake levels near flood pool in June. The River campsites though were very nice and inviting. They give you a feel as if you were out west. I highly recommend a stay at either sites.

It is a small spot. No service for Mint Mobil, VERY limited for AT&T. The vast majority of people in this campground use RVs.

We absolutely love this campground and come back every year. So excited to see the upgrades including water hook ups at most every site.

I love site 41. Tons of shade which is great on hot summer days. Lots of green space around this site so there is room to expand and not feel like other campsites are on top of you. Great for families with little ones. The closed loop means that no one is rolling through very fast and usually you only have the cars that are parked in that loop driving through. We let our kids ride biked on the road without a worry.
They added water to this "loop" of sites which makes any of these sites nice.
Drawbacks: Your doorside does face the bathrooms. So at night you do have the exterior light of the building that shines. it doesn't shine directly at you but it does mean there isn't total darkness. I actually like it as when you are headed to the bathroom at night you have something to guide your way.

Site 42 is a nice site.
Great view of the lake and the doorside faces east so later in the day your trailer gives you a little shade.
Water in this site now which is a huge +.
Lots of green space as you are the end site at the front of the loop.
Only downsides. Backs up to the roadway from the mainland and also to the exit road. You just end up with more traffic that you watch if you are out at your shelter.
Not a lot of shade.

Site 30 is a gem in the park. You back up into the site and you are right over the lake. Since you are at the end of the line of sites you can just stare out at the water and not really realizer others are around you. Water at this site which is nice.
Listen to the water lap against the shore and the retaining wall of your site. Also doorside is east facing so you get a lot of shade in the later afternoon and evening.
Downsides: Since you are right on the water with a built up wall and railing we spent a little time worried about the kids and them up agains the railings. If they go over they are in the water. There is also a lack of green space with the way this site is designed. Its what you have to give up to have something right over the water. I would personally advise against it for families with small kids.
