Corp of Engineer parks are AWESOME!!! This particular park has water on all four sides, so the likelihood of having a water front site is very high! Our site #28 was a split site with #29, so if you are traveling with someone, you can camp side-by-side and still have that water front view! Lots of shade and green space provide room to breathe! Pets welcome! Canadian geese and their babies were present - loved that! Showers appeared to be clean with basic needs provided (we used our own bathroom). A designated swim area so your kiddos are safe. The dump site is right across from the campground on Hwy 187, easy in and out, but study your approach so you are headed the correct direction. Gorgeous park, dam is stunning, not a lot of traffic on the water. Kayakers and upright board paddlers were in abundance. Lots of attractions close by like Thorncrown Chapel, Blue Springs, Crescent Hotel (ghosts are aplenty!), and Eureka Springs, the "Little Switzerland" of Arkansas, a charming Victorian town who welcomes you! Plan on riding the tram/trolley around downtown, because parking is NOT plentiful.

The weather was PERFECT! Our site was beautiful. Our only complaint would be the site pad. There is a substantial drop off from the pad to the ground that makes it rather difficult to put the RV steps down without walking out into a huge (rather beautiful) tree. We had to park our trailer about 10 further away from the rear of the pad just to get our steps to reach the ground and be able to walk out safely. We love this campground so much we immediately reserved another trip back already.

From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West and travel nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left at Park entrance and continue to the site, located before the dam.
From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles. Turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles, crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.
