I was not on the point but at site 8 which had an amazing view. The camp host was accommodating when I arrived early and let me set up because the previous campers had left. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot.

I would suggest that whoever is in charge of cleaning the sites when someone leaves needs to do a much better job. It appears that once one camper leaves no one comes and checks the site prior to another camper arriving. We were in Space 32 and there were sunflower seed shells everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! We had to try to clean it ourselves. Also, the benches were covered with spider webs and there were Wasp/Hornet nest under the seats. We sprayed under the benches with hornet spray to get them to leave and also broomed all the spider webs on the ceiling of the cabana. I would think a family with children would be concerned if their children/child were bitten. Typically, most campgrounds have a host that cleans up trash and such and not leave it up to the guest to take care of. I sincerely hope this is of some help. We love the campground in general and are retuning there in a week and hoping not to have the same experience.

All sites on the island are very nice and spacious. The water in the lake is amazingly clear and calm. It is a 15 minute drive to anywhere from here.

Park is very pretty & well maintained
Restrooms/showers were decent near the site we had. Vault toilets are a big NO!
Noticed/attempted to use while out kayaking.
Staff was friendly when we checked in

It was a clean and quiet atmosphere ! Both camp hosts were so kind and friendly. The only thing that I think could be changed is how often they suction out the pit toilets. The one closest to the check in booth in my opinion was pretty full. Also maybe some signage in them reminding people to close the toilet lids when done to help with odor.
I will return to Dam Site, absolutely gorgeous views.

From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West and travel nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left at Park entrance and continue to the site, located before the dam.
From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles. Turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles, crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.
