Warning

General

To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your Recreation.gov account or by calling 1-877-444-6777.We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season!

The site descriptions aren’t always accurate, and our camper wouldn’t fit in the original spot we reserved. Then the second site was so terribly sloped, it would have been a nightmare trying to sleep or even be inside our RV. Not every site has a water hookup. The sites on the island right along the shore closest to the entrance, 40-somethings; are great. Water and Electric hookups, flat pads, beautiful view. We will stay here again, but only on those select few spots with water and a good RV pad!

Love this campground for the campsites. Most of them were on the water, so immediate lake access. The bathrooms need updating but the showerhouses are good.

Beautiful setting on peninsula ring of RV sites. Gravel shores were perfect for launching kayaks and going for a swim.
Could not have asked for better.

Site 18 on the lakefront NOT suitable for tents. Neither is campsite 17. This site apparently only opened a couple weeks ago after April flooding. So much erosion damage: chunks of loose asphalt, dangerous 2ft drop from picnic table to unlevel fire ring, tripped navigating and luckily only minor scrapes. 6’2”ft could barely reach to hang trash on hook—too much erosion. We squeezed our tent on strip of rocky grass on a hill next to the road in 20”high unmoved grass (rest of camp was mowed) in a spot that is obviously goose nesting area. Lots of goose droppings and feathers. Picnic table shelter had wasp nests and worst spiders activity I’ve ever seen at a campsite. I don’t know if all the sites are this poorly maintained or just this one. Park attendant lady was nice and friendly but ultimately unable to help as all the sites were booked and we were not allowed to put tent anywhere but our site.
Bathrooms/ showers were clean. NO Playground; it’s obsolete rusted and covered with caution tape. Traffic noise from boats and vehicles crossing dam. Lucky that Site 17 campers didn’t come or our car would have literally been parked right next to their fire ring and too close to our tent. Swim beach had fish heads and parts as if someone recently cleaned their fish there.
Had great time trout fishing the tailwaters though as it was close by. Dam Store down the road also was nice and friendly.
