A favorite park for us. We went two days after Memorial Day, and there was a bit more debris around than usual for this park. We did not realize until the end of the second day that the bath house was open; we just had assumed that it was still closed. Weather was lovely, breezy on our south-facing site the first day, but calmer the second. We had brought kayaks, and paddled several times. Our friends who occupied the site adjacent had rented a stand up paddleboard at a marina, and enjoyed learning that and also doing some rather unsuccessful fishing from one of their kayaks.
No interaction with staff this visit, except being waved in as we arrived. Due to the dates, very few other campers this visit, thus we enjoyed a more quiet and peaceful experience than on other trips.

Beaver Lake is a great location for boating and fishing. In the area I was in the sites were very close. The restrooms were below average. They did not have hand soap and in this day and age I place a lot of weight of the quality of a campground just on the fact that they have hand soap in the restrooms. The shower was just one temperature....hot, at least to me. Using the disabled shower allowed for temperature adjustment. The park ranger was very helpful explaining the parking situation at the boat ramp that was crowded on a Saturday in August. Arkansas has some great campgrounds. Beaver Lake, I would rate the Indian Creek Campground below average.

Have been to Indian Creek two times this summer and stayed 5 nights both times. Unfortunately both times at our scheduled check in we have had to deal with groups that were occupying our reserved site. Fortunately after persuading them to leave after some time we were able to get into our site. This Is something no one should have to deal with. Just FYI !!!

Campground host is terrible. Rude and demanding. She doesn't announce who she is and drives around in her personal vehicle without the campground host sign on it looking for every possible reason to exert her minuscule amount of authority over the campers. The restrooms were dirty.

The lake is beautiful.
The campground spots are in need of updating. This area is very rocky and the RV pads are barely wide enough for your camper. There was a huge drop off from where our camper door was compared to where the picnic table area was. Had to buy a sturdy step to make the transition from our camper steps to the ground. We camped on #1 which has very little area for kids to play or even sit around a fire. The other drawback is that there are no water connections on each site. You have to fill up at one of the shared hydrants. If you are there for more than a couple of days you will likely have to refill your water holding tanks during your stay. Lake Fort Smith is a smaller lake but their camping spots are level and their picnic area is large and level. I hope that these other campgrounds can be revitalized to be like Lake Fort Smith's area.
