The park is beautiful, and well kept. Loved the cypress groves. Would have liked to see more trash cans around. The bathrooms and shower areas were nice, they even had hand soap.

Always enjoy my stay at Waveland Park while fishing for crappie on the lake and river.
The park is well kept except for the tall grass. It could use weed-eating and or mowing around the campsites and firepit charcoal was just thrown into edge of campsite and not disposed into dumpster properly.
The restrooms were a little unkept..one door in shower needs to be replaced instead of shower curtain hung by zipties (looked tacky and dirty).
So glad that the fish cleaning station was cleaned up and fenced to keep the buzzards off the cleaning tables. Big improvement!
Over all was a very good stay with sunsets like no other place. Gorgeous!

I have always wanted to camp out in this gem of a camping site for years. I got online to find a spot for my 43 foot RV with 50 amp hookups. I reserved a spot but when I arrived the attendant who was very nice told me it would not fit. They have no pull thru's and not all the sites are flat. Some have significant ramps and turns in the campsites. The attendant was nice enough to drive me thru the entire camping area and we found a site that would work great. Unfortunately some of the sites do not have water next to the electric post. Mine on campsite #19 was 50 feet from the rv and took two hoses to reach. Campsites were clean with picnic table and grill pit and free of Debris. Mount Magazine was full of campers but this place has less than 50% occupancy. Dump station present and clean. Boat Launch present with plenty of parking. Sunsets were incredible. Loved this area of Arkansas. Will be back in the future.

We decided after our last day to try the 'new' bathroom/shower facility on the west side of Waveland Park Campground. Although it is much newer than the one on the east side, there were some problems: the drains from the showers in both the women's and the men's sides don't drain properly. Whoever created the slope of the floors forgot that water runs downhill! The women's shower forms a lake; the men's not far behind. If the Corps can correct this, the showers would be much better.
Otherwise, our stay was very nice this time of year. We incorporated bicycling around the different parts of Waveland and the Outlet Campgrounds this trip, preceded by a great trip up to Mt Magazine to see the fall foliage. This is our 5th trip to BML.

This is a really nice campground to stay at. The bathrooms were clean and the campground itself was well keeped.
The attendants were never seen the entire 5 day stay, even both times we tried to check in they were not around (this was at 3pm on the day we arrived and the next morning).

Scenery was beautiful! Nice views of the lake and Mt. Magazine from the entire park. However, there are no signs for the camp site areas so it's extremely difficult to find your site after dark. Nowhere to purchase firewood so be prepared.
