Campsite was very large and well shaded, there was some trash left at the site that we had to clean up and the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper by the end of the weekend but otherwise a great place. The campground itself is busier due to people coming just to swim but this site is far enough away from the water entrance that it is still quiet. Gravel road does kick up a lot of dust, parking available in front of site next to road.

There is a water well, a trash dumpster, and clean flush toilets and sinks to use. The camp host is extremely friendly and full of information.

The campground was clean, and quiet for the most part except the larger crowds of people at the river access during the day. No electrical hookup (which was clearly stated) and a shared water spigot at the pavilion. Basically zero phone service until you get back to the main road, but only a couple miles to the nearest grocery store/gas station (Harps). Lots of poison ivy/oak in the treeline. Overall an excellent experience. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and will definitely be taking our daughters back soon after our pleasant stay.

A stray dog had been roaming around all the campsites and begging for food. Apparently it had been there for days and the camp hosts had done nothing to remove it. It wasn't a big deal until the dog decided to chase and bark at an armadillo all night long. Unfortunately this was 15 feet behind my tent. The animal was finally caught at 3am and put into the bathroom where is continued to bark for hours. It was roaming around again the next day so we left and forfeited the 2 campsites we prepaid for the next night.

We stayed on site 18 by the river and it was so nice to sleep with the sound of the water. The swimming is perfect, had to be careful because the river was high from rain. It changes quite a bit with the weather. Our kids really enjoyed it. Will definitely stay again!
