What Guests Are Saying

Ozark Campground offers large, well-shaded campsites, a friendly camp host, and excellent swimming opportunities in the nearby Buffalo River. While some guests noted issues such as trash left at sites and limited bathroom supplies, the campground generally maintains a clean and quiet atmosphere, especially away from the busier swimming areas. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and appreciated the natural beauty and amenities, with plans to return in the future.

The campground is pleasant enough, with somewhat closely spaced campsites ringing a meadow. The river flowing past the bluffs is striking. A fair number of people came in for swimming and rafting during the day, and our site was right next to the parking for the river access, but the campground was generally peaceful, and was very quiet after dark. The campground host was pleasant and helpful. We cancelled days 3 and 4 of our reservation to move on farther east and were pleasantly surprised to get a refund.

Amazing views of the Buffalo national river just feet away from the tent camp sites. Small but spacious. Clean bathrooms no showerhouse, but honestly with the river so close who cares! Close to alot of beautiful hikes in the ozark national forest.

This campground is a wonderful location on the river. Campground host is great and doing as well as he can with the condition of the facilities. the bathrooms need a serious uplift. Very worn and dinged up. It would be nice if there was warm water and even nicer if there was a shower.

The road DOWN to the campground is well maintained despite its steepness. The sites are well marked and were clean. The bathrooms were also clean. Plenty of water spigots and a nice trash station.

I love that this campground is much less busy than some others. My only complaint is all the sites are walk up sites. There are none available for car camping. The photos made it seem like you could drive up to your spot. There are some that are close, but there are no spots where you can park in your actual camp site. Otherwise it was great and relaxed, since it was not the busy season it felt very private. Would not feel private in busy season I suspect.

Grass needed mowed badly. Bathrooms were out of order most of the day.
I did not feel I got my moneys worth in renting the pavilion.
