We stayed at this campground for a week while visiting family, so I canβt comment on the lake itself in terms of boating or fishing. The sites are paved, most seemed to have various amounts of shade. The best sites are definitely lakeside some with a patio area, in talking with fellow campers they are booked at least a year in advance by locals. Those sites on the opposite side of the road range from full shade to zero shade, some with a covered picnic table, acceptably level to are you kidding? Ours unfortunately was possibly the worst site in the campground. It was on a hillside with zero shade, steep driveway with pavement just a couple feet wider than the camper and an immediate drop off on what should be the camp side which was only a few feet from the road. Between the nose of the camper being high in the air and the side drop off our front door was unusable as the fold-down steps were 18β away from touching the ground at max extension. If not for our rig having a second, rear bedroom entry we could not have stayed at this fully booked campground. Even those steps required an extra folding stool to reach the first step! The uncovered picnic table and fire pit were uphill and behind the camper on a small concrete pad just large enough. The only semi flat area with shade to set up chairs was under some trees another 30 plus feet uphill from the utility side of the camper, next to the playground. The bath house was in a word, disgusting. For starters it needed an interior paint job 10 years ago, the ceiling on the menβs side was rotting, the urinal apparently non functional and full of urine, only two showers and two toilet stalls all in serious need of attention. There was no toilet paper for a couple of days, for some inexplicable reason there was feces on the floor and wall for more than a day. The shower stalls are too small, no dry area for your clothes, towel or shoes and no bench. Water temp and pressure good. Excellent camp hosts.

Great park, with electricity hookups, water, bathrooms, and just simply well maintained by friendly staff and park rangers. Oh, the fishing is great, the lake is HUGE, and the scenery absolutely gorgeous β€οΈ
