Camp Joplin offers a relaxing and beautiful camping experience with spacious sites, convenient amenities like clean showers, and stunning views of the lake, making it a popular choice for visitors. Many campers appreciated the helpful hosts and well-maintained facilities, enhancing their stay. However, some guests reported issues with ants and noise from the sewer area, which could detract from the experience for a few. Overall, most would recommend returning to this lovely location.

I gave this particular campsite 5 stars for its seclusion, low number of people (at least when I went), and great lake access. We spent three nights there and only saw one other family. There are a few spots, 10 maybe?, 15?, on the campground that have been leveled and graveled and great for an RV. The majority are in worse condition, but should be accomodating for most rigs 20 ft and under. I would not recommend pulling in anything over 25 ft for most spots, as it could well prove very difficult for you to turn around in some places. Many of the driving paths are enclosed by trees, which makes it difficult for longer vehicles to get through. So long as you can get your rig in, you're in a great spot. You're only a 3 minute boat ride from some decent cliff jumping of 15-20ft.
Thank you for keeping your dogs on a leash!

Campsites 35, 36, and 37 are near impossible to get boat trailers or campers into and not level(no pad... just dirt.) There isn’t a parking lot for boat trailers at this campground. Trees hug the edge of the road making it very difficult to pull around the loop to enter the sites. Highly experienced drivers recommended to pull campers into this campground... just getting to the dump station was very difficult for campers near the front entrance of the campground due to narrow roads and lack of areas to turn around. However, the beach areas are nice all over the campground, great places to dock your boat. As for the campground attendants, they were extremely helpful... just awesome!

We really enjoyed our spot. Close to the bathroom, peaceful area. Will walk 5-8 mins to the beach. Some areas are just hilly you just have to find the good spot. We had to chane our spot because the first one was too hilly. Will definitely come back.
